Vinod V.K. is Chief Underwriting Officer at Advantage Re, where he holds full P&L accountability for a diversified portfolio spanning commercial property, engineering and construction, political violence, and inward facultative and treaty reinsurance. With more than 22 years of progressive underwriting and claims leadership across the GCC and North Africa, he brings deep technical specialism in commercial and industrial property, engineering and construction (CAR / EAR / DSU), and inward facultative reinsurance. His career has been defined by senior appointments at Zurich Global Corporate (DIFC), Orient Insurance (Al-Futtaim Group), Gulf Insurance Group (a Fairfax Financial Holdings company), and Qatar Insurance Company, most recently leading all non-motor lines at Dubai National Insurance & Reinsurance.

Respected by treaty leaders, brokers, and regulators alike as a disciplined underwriter and a constructive negotiator, Vinod has personally led the resolution of catastrophic claims across the region, including one of the largest single property losses in UAE insurance history. He has structured captive insurance programmes for leading UAE corporate groups, among them the Al Habtoor and Al-Futtaim Groups, across construction, hospitality, automotive, retail, and real estate.
